Solidarity Actions

Enfermera en apuros (Nurse in a rush) is much more than a brand.

It was born in 2014 with a great enthusiasm to make this wonderful profession visible and help as many people as possible.

We are nurses and we are very aware of everything that happens around us.

That is why we love to carry out urgent solidarity actions and take advantage of our voice to give it to those who need it the most.

Some of these actions that we have carried out with much love have been:

Solidary badge against Cancer:

Unfortunately, we all have someone in our environment who is suffering from the disease of the 21st century: Cancer . Damn cancer. In the form of an aunt, your best friend's mother, your boyfriend's father or simply your patient, cancer touches you. It eats a part of you every time we lose someone. Every time a battle can't be won.

And from our desire to advance in the fight against this disease, and to be able to do our bit so that those people we love continue with us, this solidary badge was born in 2016.

With the solidarity badge "We will win the battle against cancer" €14,487.20 was raised during that year!

The solidary badge has been a rallying cry. The costs of each sheet purchased was fully allocated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer ( www.aecc.es ).

Because among all of us we can do our bit to collaborate in the research, support and information that people suffering from cancer need. A small gesture that helped many people.

Soon we will carry out new solidarity campaigns. We are in this world to give and receive love, let's do it!

Proof of transfers:

€3,408.87 raised!

04/25/2016:

Another €2,324.32 raised! Together we have managed to raise €5,733.19 in total!

09/01/2016:

Wow! We have reached €10,445.51 raised! It's amazing!

01/30/2017:

Boom! Explosion of happiness! Together we have managed to turn 7,280 badges into 7,280 kilograms of illusion, hope and strength to fight against this illness that affects us all. I have no words; In one year, we have managed to raise €14,487.20 . Just thank you !

Solidarity sheet against Breast Cancer:

Unfortunately, many of us are very close to this illness. Mothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, grandmothers or friends have left, are fighting or have won the battle.

All together, we must support each other and support research so that one day it will be just a bad memory of something that made us stronger, of something we learned from and improved.

We are all together with you, fighters.

For this reason, in 2018 we have created this badge on the occasion of World Breast Cancer Day , with which the full amount raised will be donated to the Spanish Federation of Breast Cancer ( FECMA ).

Solidarity sheet We will win over Covid-19!

2020, the year of nursing declared by the WHO and a catastrophe comes to our lives. The Covid-19 arrived in the form of a global pandemic to destroy everything. To demolish everything, even our way of perceiving day to day. Hospitals without resources and healthcare on the verge of collapse, that is what we must face now as part of our new normality.

As of today, more than 28,000 people have died from the virus in Spain. 28,000 people who were fathers, mothers, grandparents, uncles, children, nephews, friends or even the love of someone's life. 28,000 people with names and surnames who have not been able to say goodbye properly due to isolation. And let's not talk about the more than 477,000 people who have died worldwide and the global health crisis we are facing.

This is why Nurse in a rush (Enfermera en apuros) decides in April 2020 , in the midst of a state of alarm and quarantine in Spain, to put up for sale a solidarity badge that aims to raise funds for research into the vaccine against Covid-19.

It is then that we contacted the #yomecorono organization, (a project of the Fight AIDS Foundation, IrsiCaixa and the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital that join forces to respond as soon as possible to the state of emergency) and we told them about the project that we had between hands.

05/05/2020

We made a first donation to the #yomecorono project and to the account set up by the Ministry of Health at the Bank of Spain. €8,624.23 donated in total!

Solidarity hurried ear protectors

But we do not stop there, we continue looking for a way to do our bit in the face of the catastrophe we are facing. We need more, much more.

Thus, Nurse in a rush devises the solution to the wounds in the ears of the toilets from wearing the masks for so many hours: The solidarity ear protectors apurados.

Like the "Ganaremos al Covid-19" solidary badge, this product was designed with the idea of donating the entire profits to the #yomecorono project. In this way, they would not only be helping the health workers by facilitating their work by better way to hold the mask, but we would also be able to collect a greater amount for the investigation of the vaccine against Covid-19.

05/04/20 20

First donation made to #yomecorono! : We have managed to raise €2,530.85.

05/12/2020

Second donation! WOW. We have obtained €10,179.30 more to help stop the health crisis!!

06/24/2020

Third donation! GREAT, we have achieved another €5,089.69 more. This time, we chose to donate to the World Health Organization Covid-19 Response Fund. This is a surefire way for individuals, philanthropic institutions, and businesses to contribute to the effort to respond to the pandemic. But what possibilities does this fund offer us?

  • Send essential supplies, such as personal protective equipment, to frontline health workers.
  • Enable all countries to track and detect the disease by increasing laboratory capacity by providing training and equipment.
  • Ensure that health workers and communities around the world have access to the latest scientific information to protect themselves, prevent infection and care for those in need.
  • Increase efforts to accelerate the discovery and development of vaccines, diagnostic tests, and life-saving treatments.

Modern Nightingale Solidarity Campaign

As we said before, 2020 has been declared by the WHO as the year of nursing and suddenly we are facing one of the greatest challenges of our lives: Saving lives in the midst of a pandemic. May arrives and with it Nursing Day, considered so because it is the birth of our beloved Florence Nightingale, precursor of modern nursing.

And it is that we feel like modern Nightingales. Because nothing can with us and even less in these moments in which we have a lot to do, a lot to help with, a lot to take care of.

It is then when we decided that the Modern Nightingale campaign must mean much more , it must be involved with the reality that we are going through. But how? What can we do? It has to be supportive, there is no doubt. In this way, we would allocate 15% of the profits to the fight against Covid-19. We continue to contribute our grain of sand.

"Because we have changed the lamp for the flashlight of the mobile, and the awards for cool tattoos. Because our Apple Watch accompanies us, our lanyard and our notebooks and colored pens.

But the essence is the same: CARE.

Because we've come a long way and our mother, Nightingale, would be proud of us. Because we are version 2.0. of what started with her, and will continue with all of us.

We are MODERN NIGHTINGALES." - Ana Polegre.

€2,222.33 raised!! We donate to a new foundation that fights against the Coronavirus. This is the DiabetesCERO Foundation in its project "Magic against Covid19" which aims to raise funds for two investigations of two vaccines against COVID-19. These investigations are carried out at the National Biotechnology Center thanks to the scientific team made up of Dr. Luis Enjuanes and Dr. Mariano Esteban.

Solidarity Collection Calm Mind Club

We know. Our passion and vocation towards health is enormous, compi. But... Who cares for those who care? The time has come to start pampering ourselves and loving each other very much. Because if we don't do it among ourselves, who does?
For this reason, we have created a solidarity collection thinking about recovering our mental health. Because after the last few years, we need to focus on the really important things and give it the visibility it deserves.

Thanks to your help, we have chosen the Confederation With Mental Health ( consaludmental.org ) to make the first donation of 20% of the benefits of the Calm Mind Club collection . An association that was born in 1983 to improve the adoption of all measures that contribute to improving the quality of life of people with mental disorders and their families, defend their rights and represent the associative movement created around health. mental.

*This same confederation will continue to receive the benefits of the sales of these products that continue to arrive in the future, and whose donation we will make when stocks expire.
